Invitation: The Institute for Global African Affairs co-hosted at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa; and the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados, cordially invites you to a public lecture. Pan-Africanism remains one of the most profound responses to the curse of Berlin that led to the fragmentation of Africa and the ghosts of the empire that continue to haunt global Africa to this day, leading to lingering issues of injustice, unfairness, inequality, anti-Black racism, exploitation, marginalisation, and fragmentation. In this annual lecture, we draw inspiration from pan-African voices to contribute to current discussions about the rebirth of Africa, its political, economic, cultural and technological renaissance.
